THE UNIMAGINABLE’
Nike Air is driven by the belief that beyond the imagination, lies something bigger - the Unimaginable. It started over 40 years ago with the absurd idea to capture air in the soles of Nike shoes.
To bring this spirit of imagination to life we created Nike’s the Department of Unimaginable, a top secret team in Nike’s Beaverton, OR campus that has experimented for decades, creating bigger and bigger Nike Air. This covert department seeks to invent that which has yet to be imagined. During Air Max month (March) locations all over the world became outposts for the the Department of Unimaginable lab teams to engage the public in Air inspired experiences.
