20 years after its debut, the Nike Air Max 97 continues to inspire awe with its ostentatious shine, sleek lines, gleaming vehicular-style ventilation and full-window cushioning. Its unique, futuristic design has regularly been attributed to the look of Japanese bullet trains (Shinkansend) and subtle waves of water.  To introduce this iconic sneaker’s story to an entirely new generation, I created a space inspired by its iconic details and the retro x futuristic vibe of its design.
