‘PROTOTYPING LAB’


The process of perfecting React foam innovation has been a unending goal for Nike design teams.  With each iteration the product improves and evolves.  To peel the curtain back on that iterative process at the House of Innovation NYC/000 we created a ‘React Prototyping Lab’.  There computers ran simulations of speed tests and used generative design to look for the most efficient React pattern and density of foam.  The results of these tests can be seen in prototypes housed around the space that athletes* could interact with.
